Job summary

HomeWorks Energy in Massachusetts is seeking HVAC Maintenance Technicians. You will install and maintain HVAC systems, troubleshoot, calibrate equipment, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role includes preventive maintenance, testing, documentation, and collaboration with installation teams to meet HWE standards. The position offers full-time, hourly compensation with overtime eligibility and opportunities for performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• NATE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance and start-up of HVAC systems, including calibration and testing to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to align with local codes and manufacturer specs.
• Explain system operation and maintenance steps to customers; document service activities thoroughly.
• Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and customer service to ensure successful project completion and safety compliance.
• Shadow junior technicians, provide feedback and participate in on-the-job training.
