Josh Capeder Design Co. seeks a dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on residential and/or commercial systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, professional, and committed to providing top-tier service to customers. Preferred candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance-focused HVAC experience and EPA 608 certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal) is required or must be obtained within 90 days.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems.
• 3–5 years of maintenance-focused HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including AC, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
• Inspect components, perform cleaning, filter changes, lubrication, and adjustments as needed.
• Identify issues and recommend solutions before major problems arise.
• Document services and communicate findings to customers and supervisors.
• Ensure systems operate within specifications and local codes.
• Test system performance using gauges and meters.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance at job sites.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer questions about the system.
• Comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good condition.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment


• Inspect system components and perform cleaning, filter changes, lubrication, and adjustments as needed


• Identify potential issues and recommend solutions before major problems arise


• Document all services performed and communicate findings to customers and supervisors


• Ensure systems are operating within manufacturers’ specifications and local code requirements


• Test system performance and efficiency using gauges, meters, and other tools


• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at job sites


• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions about their HVAC system


• Comply with all company policies and safety standards


• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good working condition

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required


• 3-5 years of HVAC experience preferred (maintenance-focused)


• EPA 608 Certification (Universal) required or must be obtained within 90 days


• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems


• Strong attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills


• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with HVAC maintenance software or mobile service apps (e.g., ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, etc.)


• Familiarity with smart thermostats and energy-efficient systems
