Job summary

SSH Real Estate in West Chester, PA is seeking an HVAC Technician to join our growing team. You will perform maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and install or upgrade equipment, ensuring timely completion of work orders and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HVAC; experience in commercial service preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repairs.
• Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC equipment and components.
• Complete work orders with accurate documentation promptly.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks (filters, coils, lubrication, belts).
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials in service vehicles.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial/residential HVAC systems
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC equipment and components.
• Complete all work orders with accurate documentation and notes promptly
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement).
• Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and equipment in service vehicles.
• Clearly maintain regular communication with dispatch

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in all aspects of HVAC, experience in commercial service is preferred
• Possess a set of basic hand tools and an EPA 608 Certification
• Must possess a hardworking, dependable, and positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Clean driving record, criminal record and the ability to pass a drug screening
• Computer, phone, and written skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead, climb ladders, and work at heights (e.g., rooftops).
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the day.
