Job summary

Daikin Applied is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Owatonna, MN site to keep machinery and equipment in top condition. The role operates on a nights schedule (3 x 12s) with 5pm–5am shifts Wed-Fri or Sun-Tue, and requires PIT and First Aid certifications along with prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a PIT certification.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components or equipment.
Performs work involving PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.
May diagnose equipment breakdowns and determine root cause.
Tests faulty equipment and conducts basic electrical troubleshooting.
Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives as needed.
Submits purchase order requisitions for parts.
Maintains records of repairs and work orders.
Moves and sets up workstations/offices.
Troubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems.
Participates in the emergency response team.
May assist outside emergency response teams.
May provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.
Observes and complies with Company safety procedures.
