Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Maintenance Technician in Owatonna, MN to keep site machinery in good repair under limited supervision. You will diagnose trouble, replace defective parts, reassemble machines, and adjust equipment for efficient operation, with emphasis on PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, and the ability to obtain PIT and First Aid certifications. Night shift is 3 x 12s with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Works with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and related systems.
• Diagnoses equipment breakdowns and determines root cause.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting and equipment testing.
• Trains with contractors or outside representatives as needed.
• Sets up workstations and moves office equipment as required.
• Observes safety procedures at all times.
• Participates in emergency response as needed.

Shift: NIGHTS 3 x 12s

5pm-5am Wed-Fri or 5pm-5am Sun-Tue

What you will do:

• Performs preventive maintenance onequipment
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components orequipment
• Performs work involving programmable logic controllers (PLC's), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), Human Interface Modules (HMI's), etc.
• May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and todeterminerootcause
• Tests faulty equipment, performs basic electrical troubleshooting, and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of themalfunction
• Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives asneeded
• Submits purchase order requisitions forparts
• Maintains records of repairs and work orderscompleted
• Moves and sets up workstations/offices
• Troubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, andplumbing
• Participates as part of the emergency response team.
• Mayassistoutside emergency responseteams
• May provide work training to less experienced maintenancestaff
• Observes and complies with Company safety procedures at alltimes

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previousmanufacturing experience.
• Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Must be able to obtain andmaintaina First Aid certification.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from 25.72 - 52.29 in Minnesota. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the jobgradewhich this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
