Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Elgin, IL is seeking a Maintenance Trades Specialist II - HVAC for a full-time, first-shift role at Sherman hospital. The position involves on-site work with occasional travel, following a 1st shift schedule and one weekend every 6 weeks, and requires 2–4 years in industrial/trades maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Advanced training beyond high school in technical fields.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
• Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed.
• Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
• Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
