Job summary

J & J Air is seeking lead HVAC installers who take pride in quality work and customer satisfaction. You’ll receive training, newer vans, and strong field support from managers who know the trade from attic to crawlspace.

Lead installers install air handlers, condensers, ductwork, and refrigerant lines; perform startups and commissioning, and help maintain a safe, productive work environment for the team.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in HVAC installation
• EPA certification required
• NATE certification a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build comfort systems by installing air handlers, condensers, package units, ductwork, refrigerant lines, and related components
• Complete high and low voltage power connections
• System start-up and commissioning including verifying refrigerant charge and temperature differences
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle; document actions with service records
• Follow safety standards and comply with regulations
• Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on HVAC technology

$2500 Hiring Bonus for qualified candidates paid half at 6 months and half at 12 months.

Responsibilities:

• Build comfort systems by installing air handlers, condensing units, package equipment, duct work, refrigerant tubing, and related components
• Complete high and low voltage power connections
• System start up and commissioning including verifying refrigerant charge, cfm settings and temperature difference
• Keep tools and company vehicle operating by following operating instructions, maintain supplies
• Document actions by completing equipment records and service orders
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
• Comply with legal regulations
• Participate in educational opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in HVAC installation
• Job knowledge: HVAC Systems, Equipment Maintenance, and Basic Safety
• EPA certification
• NATE certification a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• Proactive and self motivated work ethic
• Ability to lift heavy equipment
• Reliable transportation

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Typical hours 7am-4pm

Supplemental pay types:
