Job summary

Five Star Charleston Heating and Air is hiring an HVAC Installation Technician for the Charleston area. You will install residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems to the highest standards while mentoring helpers and sharing feedback with management.

We value a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication with customers and teammates. A valid EPA certification and a clean driving record are required, and you will use your own basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience.
• EPA certification required; NATE is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Own basic hand tools.

Compensation & Benefits

• $30.00 - $55.00 per hour equivalent (combination of piece-rate pay for installs + hourly + bonuses, depending on experience)

Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Role Overview

You will install residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems to the highest company standards, ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience. Additional duties include mentoring installation helpers, sharing feedback with management on training needs, inventory, and pricing, and continuously improving your skills through training.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience (residential & light commercial)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members
• Valid EPA Certification (NATE is a plus)
• Ability to work safely on extension ladders (up to 28') and step ladders (up to 12')
• Own basic hand tools
• Professional appearance and a team-player mindset
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
