6 Degrees Search in Wisconsin seeks a Commercial & Industrial HVAC Journeyman (Union Scale – $52.00/hr) for Green Bay, Milwaukee, or Madison, WI. Direct-Hire role, 1st shift (Mon–Fri), with strong union backing.

You will diagnose high-tonnage systems, manage preventive maintenance, trace electrical and controls faults, and support commissioning while mentoring apprentices. A valid HVAC 1 Industrial Journeyman Card and 3+ years of field experience are required, with a clean driving record and

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman status with HVAC 1 Industrial Card and union membership or willingness to enroll.
• 3+ years of verifiable commercial/industrial service experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of motor controls and diagnostics.
• Ability to safely climb ladders, access rooftops, and work in restricted spaces.
• Clean driving record suitable for regional travel.

Responsibilities

• High-tonnage diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and installation of complex HVAC systems regionally.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to maximize system uptime.
• Electrical and controls fault-tracing, including PLC or BAS interfaces.
• System commissioning and validation prior to job completion.
• Provide client technical advisory and collaborate with site leadership.
• Mentor and supervise apprentices on-site with dispatch coordination.
