Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time HVAC Journeyman to service commercial and industrial equipment in Fargo, ND onsite. You’ll receive comprehensive training through in-person, online, and on-the-job programs and work on chillers, rooftop units, boilers, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Journeyman status by the union is required.
• EPA universal technician certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• First aid / CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test HVAC systems including chillers, rooftop units, and boilers to verify functionality.
• Repair and replace defective equipment and wiring.
• Maintain equipment and identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns.
• Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting, pipefitting and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals.
• Lead apprentices through hands-on demonstrations during rebuilds and retrofits.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports promptly.
• Download programs into equipment and analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance.
• Complete jobsite hazard assessments and comply with safety policies.
