Job summary

Comfort Systems of Virginia, Inc. in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a Warehouse Clerk to manage day-to-day purchasing and inventory for fabrication shop and construction sites.

You will maintain records, track material movements, coordinate deliveries, and support other warehouse functions with accuracy and safety. The role requires a high school diploma, HVAC/mechanical background preferred, and flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in HVAC/plumbing purchasing or inventory role.
• HVAC/Mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report inventory needs to Purchasing Agent timely.
• Maintain material inventory by scanning materials in and out of the inventory system.
• Keep accurate inventory counts and records.
• Ensure inventory room is clean and organized.
• Report damaged or non-working tools to Purchasing Agent for repair.
• Remove unsafe tools or equipment from service.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and inspections of tools and equipment.
• Handle Connex tracking and deliveries as needed.
• Pull orders from inventory and load delivery trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
