Job summary

Fortis College in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty. This part-time professional position reports directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses, with a typical load of two courses per term and one or two preparations.

Applicants will provide academic advising to students and participate in department training, meetings and graduation activities. Prior higher education teaching is preferred but not required.

• Completion of HVAC/R program with Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree preferred
• EPA Universal certification
• Virginia DPOR Journeyman or Master HVAC license
• OSHA 10 certification
• HVAC Excellence not required but desired
• NATE not required but desired

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program . This is a part- time , professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education . Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
• Certifications/Licensure:
  • EPA Universal
  • Virginia (DPOR) Dept of Professional & Occupational Regulations Journeyman or Master HVAC License
  • OSHA 10
  • HVAC Excellence is not required but desired
  • NATE is not required but desired
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated , and results - driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
