Job summary

• NCCER Instructor, NATE, HVAC Excellence desirable but not required.
• At least three years of field HVAC/R experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior higher education teaching experience preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
• Certifications/Licensure
  • A current Texas Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Techncian isued by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation
  • EPA Universal
  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • NCCER Instructor certification is desired but not required
  • NATE is desired but not required
  • HVAC Excellence is desired but not required
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
