Qualifications

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Virginia DPOR Journeyman or Master HVAC License is required.
• OSHA 10 required.
• HVAC Excellence certification is desirable but not required.
• NATE certification is desirable but not required.
• Minimum of three years of HVAC/R Technician experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC/R courses (typical load is two courses per term with two preparations).
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Participate in department trainings, meetings and graduation activities.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
