Fortis College in Montgomery, AL is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty on a part-time basis. The candidate will teach in the HVAC Program and provide academic advising to students.

The role includes delivering HVAC/R courses, participating in department trainings, meetings and graduation activities, and helping students prepare for successful careers in the trades with hands-on instruction.

Formación

• HVAC/R program completion with a Certificate or Diploma.
• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• Certifications: HVAC license or Registered HVAC Apprentice; EPA Universal.
• Minimum 3 years HVAC technician experience.
• Prior higher education teaching experience preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Program. This is a part- time , professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education . The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses . Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings and graduation .

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Certifications:
  • HVAC License or Registered HVAC Apprentice
  • EPA Universal
  • NACE Certification is desired but not required
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC Technician
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
