Job summary

Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES is seeking an HVAC instructor to teach adult learners at the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs. Qualifications

Overview

Salary: $25.50 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Location: F. Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga Springs

Work Hours: Flexible scheduling - Evenings

The HVAC instructor is responsible for teaching HVAC courses to adult learners in a classroom setting. Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students to prepare them to gain or increase skills in the area of HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and materials.
• Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor students’ performance.
• Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, including group or individualized instruction and computer-assisted learning to support student gains.
• Create a climate that encourages and supports learning.
• Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records.
• Maintains effective classroom management that enhances student learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in HVAC discipline.
• Certified HVAC technician.
