The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an HVAC - Workforce Development Instructor to develop training curriculum for apprenticeships and non-credit programs. This role involves aligning with industry credentials and facilitating job placements for completers.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, EPA certification, and a minimum of one year of teaching experience. Strong communication skills and knowledge of current HVACR technologies are essential.
HVAC - Workforce Development Instructor (Pooled Position)
The instructor will develop HVACR training curriculum for apprenticeships, boot camps, and various formats, incorporating self‑paced, online, and traditional models. Align with credit programs and industry credentials, provide instruction for non‑credit programming. The instructor will also create industry‑relevant programs that facilitate apprenticeship placements and help completers secure unsubsidized jobs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (significant work experience/industry credentials may be substituted for degree requirement). EPA Section 608 Technician Certification.
Experience: Minimum 1 year teaching experience and New Jersey HVACR contractor license preferred.
Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related field of specialization. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use technology in education as appropriate to the subject matter. As applicable, certification in your area of expertise, or ability to obtain prior to first class.
