Porter and Chester Institute is hiring an HVAC Instructor (Part Time) in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on teaching hands-on HVAC skills with real equipment, guiding students toward licensing and real-world success.

We welcome industry professionals and provide curriculum, training, and support. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with HVAC licenses and EPA certification as noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Oil Burner License or Refrigeration License (or willing to obtain in 90 days).
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred).
• At least 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage your day.
• Strong communication and organization skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an HVAC Instructor, you’ll bring real-world experience into the classroom and lab, showing students how the trade actually works — not just how it looks in a book.

You will:

• Teach hands-on HVAC skills using real equipment and real scenarios
• Share jobsite knowledge, troubleshooting tips, and best practices
• Mentor students at different skill levels — from beginners to advanced learners
• Prepare students for licensing, certification, and real-world success
• Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development

No lesson plans from scratch, no education degree required — we provide curriculum, training, and support.
