Job summary

Kelso Industries is hiring for a commercial HVAC role in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform ground-up HVAC installation, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop units, while integrating VRF systems and modern building controls.

Strong blueprint literacy and problem-solving are essential as you work on-site with the crew to maintain schedules and meet customer expectations. The position requires 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, VRF proficiency, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on HVAC experience.
• Proficiency with VRF systems and commercial work.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
• EPA Universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop package units.
• Install modern systems such as VRV/VRF equipment, along with advanced building controls.
• Run low-voltage control wiring and complete rough-in work.
• Assist with sheet metal fabrication and installation as needed.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site to answer questions and explain work being performed.
• Work alongside crew members to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.

About This Role

This position focuses on commercial HVAC work for a project we have upcoming in Phoenix, AZ — a ground up HVAC install.

What You'll Do

• Install cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop package units.
• Install modern systems such as Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) equipment, along with advanced building controls.
• Run low-voltage control wiring and complete rough-in work.
• Assist with sheet metal fabrication and installation as needed.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site to answer questions and explain work being performed.
• Work alongside crew members to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience.

• Physical capability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
• Solid troubleshooting instincts when installation challenges arise.
