Qualifications

• Excellent troubleshooting skills are required.
• Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and repair HVAC units using hand tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Document work and complete job paperwork as necessary.

Job description

• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications, to Install, diagnose and repair units.
• Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges.
• Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level.
• Inspects system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications.
• Completion of routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and any other related equipment, which contributes to the safe and effective operation of facilities.
• Maintain quality of work, performance and productivity standards.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
• Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
• May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company.
• Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience preferred.
• Building controls – ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls.
