Job summary

Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. is hiring for a generator installation position in Manassas, VA. You will install generators and related equipment in residential and light commercial settings, without supervision, while communicating effectively with management and documenting all activity.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in records, training others, and adherence to company policies. A valid driver's license is required, with 6+ months of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of related experience and/or training
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and a good driving record
• Experience on how to pull an outdoor unit (Preferred, not required)
• VA Electrician Apprentice (Preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Installs generator and related equipment including gas line used in a residential and light commercial setting, successfully without supervision.
• Communicates in an effective, timely manner with management regarding issues, opportunities, or other factors that might affect the generator department.
• Records all installation activity as required in an accurate, clear, and timely manner.
• Ensure the generator installation helper is following our stated policies and procedures, giving instruction and directions to your coworkers as required.
• Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and accounted for properly and timely.
• Assists in the preparation, maintenance, and formulation of department quality standards and guidelines.
• Complete special projects and perform other job duties as assigned.
