Job summary

We Care Plumbing, Heating, and Air is seeking an HVAC Install Apprentice to support licensed technicians on home and commercial installations, learning hands-on as you progress toward a skilled trade career.

You’ll assist with setup, installation, ductwork, wiring, and measurements; prepare tools and materials; follow blueprints and project instructions while meeting building codes and safety rules; keep job sites clean and organized, and participate in training and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas, and perform basic tasks like measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling under supervision.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions from senior technicians, ensuring all work meets building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, and take part in training and safety meetings to build your HVAC trade knowledge.
