Job summary

Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Hingham, MA is hiring an HVAC Install Apprentice to join our installation team, working alongside experienced installers on residential heating and cooling projects. You should be comfortable with tools and hands-on work, with at least 6 months of related experience, and be eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of hands-on HVAC, mechanical, or general tool experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with residential HVAC installation projects, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Handle material prep, staging, and cleanup on install jobs.
• Help run and secure duct, line sets, venting, and condensate.
• Learn proper installation techniques, code requirements, and best practices.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Communicate clearly with the lead installer and customers on site.
• Follow all safety protocols on every job.
• Grow into more independent installation work as skills develop.

Compensation: $18.00 - $35.00 / hour

Description

Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a growing residential service company serving Hingham and the South Shore. We're hiring an HVAC Install Apprentice to join our installation team, working alongside experienced installers on residential heating and cooling install projects. This role is a fit for someone who already knows their way around tools and has some hands-on experience, and who is ready to be coached and developed further.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with residential HVAC installation projects, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers
