Dowling Corporation is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to support installation, service, and maintenance activities under the supervision of senior technicians. This entry-level role emphasizes learning and skill development in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration, with opportunities for on-the-job training, safety adherence, and progression toward technician-level responsibilities as experience grows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in or completion of HVAC trade school or technical program preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist in positioning, securing, and installing HVAC equipment.
• Use hand and power tools as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow safety procedures and proper PPE usage at all times.
• Participate in on-the-job training and technical education programs.
• Develop foundational HVAC skills for advancement to technician level.
• Support general jobsite labor and daily operational needs.

Job Title: HVAC Apprentice

Position Summary

The HVAC Apprentice performs entry-level HVAC installation, maintenance, and service support under the direction of senior technicians. This role assists with commercial HVAC and refrigeration work while developing the skills required to advance into a technician-level position. The apprentice is expected to maintain a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to learning in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
