Job summary

Josh Capeder Design Co. seeks a motivated HVAC apprentice to assist with installation and repair of systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.

You will perform routine maintenance, read blueprints, and learn from experienced technicians in a safety-minded environment. Responsibilities include handling tools, maintaining a clean work area, and providing customer service on-site.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interest in learning the HVAC trade and applying safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and repair of HVAC systems, including furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and ductwork.
• Help perform routine maintenance and inspections on residential and/or commercial equipment.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment for each job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company vehicle.
• Follow instructions from lead technicians and supervisors.
• Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and HVAC manuals.
• Use hand and power tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while on job sites.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and coursework (if enrolled in a registered apprenticeship or HVAC program).
