Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking an onsite HVAC technician to perform routine service and inspections on mechanical HVAC equipment at customer sites. You will work under supervision, use factory certification pathways, and earn incentives through the local union.

Requirements include a high school diploma, familiarity with HVAC equipment, and a valid driver's license. EPA refrigeration certification is a plus, and this is a Bargaining Unit position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• This position requires a current driver’s license.
• EPA Refrigeration certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Change and service filters.
• Oil and grease bearings.
• Perform belt adjustment and replacement services.
• Perform cooling tower and condenser maintenance (coils, evaporators and tubes).
• General housekeeping tasks as required by contract.
• Operate mechanical equipment if required by contract.
• Clean and maintain solar energy equipment.
• Indoor air quality maintenance including duct systems and drain pans.
