Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our growing team in a role that services and maintains advanced heavy commercial equipment. You will be mentored by peers and work under the applicable labor agreement, with opportunities to upsell efficiency improvements.

The position offers factory certification through our STA and compensates at an apprentice rate with potential to advance, while benefits are provided through the local union.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers and under the labor agreement.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems; responds to basic warranty calls.
• Keeps Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues; provides recommendations to improve facility efficiency.
