Job summary

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC/R products, parts, and supplies. We seek an HVAC Field Technical Support Specialist to deliver advanced post-sales support to contractors, dealers, and customers across multiple channels while providing on-site field assistance.

The role blends hands-on field work with remote troubleshooting and requires an Associate degree in HVAC and 5+ years’ experience. Travel regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA/AS) in HVAC or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of combined HVAC technical and customer support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting background across residential and commercial applications.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong PC proficiency and ability to learn technical platforms quickly.
• Willingness to travel regionally for job site visits and training events.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-channel technical support cases from intake through resolution with timely follow-up.
• Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues and escalate critical problems as needed.
• Provide on-site technical support including equipment startups, commissioning, and training.
• Deliver technical training to contractors, dealers, and internal teams.
• Build contractor relationships as a trusted technical partner and identify sales opportunities.
• Assist customer onboarding with product orientation and operational guidance.
• Maintain documentation in case management systems and stay current on HVAC tech and regulations.
• Support regional service initiatives to improve quality and contractor capability.
