Job summary

Lennox is seeking an HVAC Field Technical Consultant to develop and deliver training on installation, maintenance, and repair of Lennox HVAC products. You will troubleshoot technical inquiries and lead training for customers and technical staff across the SE Pennsylvania region.

You will create course content, plan lessons, and coordinate training aids, while staying current with product updates. A background in training and strong communication are required, with travel up to 50% and a salary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a two-year college degree, HVAC degree, or equivalent is preferred.
• Requires at least 1 year of relevant training experience in addition to at least 5 years of technical experience.
• Advanced knowledge of assigned products and the application of diagnostic techniques and service aids.
• Knowledge of learning theories and how to apply them to classroom settings.
• Strong presentation skills using a variety of technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Some sales ability with a track record of fostering customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and in leading virtual meetings.

What Drives Success

This HVAC Field Technical Consultant develops and delivers training courses for training customers or technical employees focused on the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC products. The person in this position also troubleshoots technical inquiries.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Identify customer needs.
• Investigate and resolve technical inquiries.
• Develop, test and maintain courses and materials used in training.
• Establish course content and student learning objectives.
• Prepare course syllabus, lesson plans and student manuals, and coordinate the development of training aids.
• Review problem areas and identify training needs.
• Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
• Update course materials on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.
• Conduct training using all delivery methods.
• Provide direction to entry-level technical trainers as needed.

Location

Candidate should be based in SE Pennsylvania, ideally within the Philadelphia, Allentown, Lancaster, or Harrisburg areas, to effectively support the assigned territory.

• Proficient in leading virtual meetings.

Travel Requirement

Travel is up to 50%. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided for business travel.

What We Offer

Compensation

This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $64,800 - $85,050 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual 12% bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
