Job summary

Aerotek is seeking skilled HVAC Service Technicians and Service Engineers to support commercial and industrial customers in the Denver metro area. You will work on complex HVAC systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and building mechanical equipment.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting abilities and experience servicing commercial HVAC systems. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and technical expertise within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working with chillers, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, and building mechanical systems.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, service, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair cooling towers, condenser water systems, pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
• Service and maintain air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Start up, commission, and optimize HVAC system performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend repairs or upgrades.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding system performance and repair recommendations.
• Follow all company, customer, and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cooling tower maintenance, repair, and inspection experience
• Chiller startup and service experience
• EPA Certification
• Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• Knowledge of VFDs, motors, pumps, and control circuits
• Industrial refrigeration or central plant experience
• Experience working in commercial facilities, hospitals, manufacturing plants, or large office buildings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops and mechanical spaces
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined mechanical areas as needed
