Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Boiler Operator/Facilities Technician in Nashville, TN. This contract-to-hire onsite role supports utilities including boilers, chillers, and related systems to ensure continuous operation.

The position requires boiler experience, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC and other critical systems. Compensation is commensurate with experience and benefits apply for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Experience with boiler maintenance and operation.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with high‑pressure boilers, clean steam, air compressors and chiller systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, nitrogen, wastewater, and HEPA systems.
• Strong repair and maintenance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems with routine inspections and metering checks.
• Schedule regular inspections, cleaning, filter changes and replacements to keep components performing well.
• Monitor safety equipment, identify issues and suspend operations to repair as needed.
• Perform repairs, obtain parts, and upgrade components within budget constraints.
• Create and enter records of inspections, maintenance and repairs.

Job Title: Boiler Operator/Facilities Technician

Job Description

The Boiler Operator / Facilities Technician is responsible for managing all utilities inside of the manufacturing site. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining systems such as boilers, chillers, and other critical utility systems to ensure optimal and continuous operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment, and adjusting levels as necessary.
• Maintain systems by scheduling regular inspections, cleanings, filter replacement, and all other tasks necessary to keep all components performing optimally; identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components.
• Ensure safety by monitoring safety equipment, identifying potential issues, and taking appropriate steps to suspend operations and repair the problem.
• Perform necessary repairs and replacements, obtain replacement parts, and upgrade components as needed while staying within the budget.
• Create and enter properly documented records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs.

Essential Skills

• Experience with boiler maintenance and operation.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in handling high-pressure boilers, clean utility systems (WFI, RO, Clean Steam), air compressors, and chiller systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, nitrogen, wastewater, and HEPA systems.
• Strong skills in repair and maintenance of plant and facility equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
