Job summary

Insight Health Systems in Chicago is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to monitor and service heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and related control equipment in a hospital setting.

The role includes operating building automation and maintenance management systems, performing scheduled preventive tasks, and coordinating with other trades to ensure reliable, safe facility operation for patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and trade school certification in HVAC.
• Four to five years' experience in HVAC is preferred, with knowledge of commercial and residential applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform space temperature readings and preventative maintenance on AHU systems; replace filters, clean coils, adjust dampers, and service pumps and motors.
• Repair and maintain cooling towers, condensers, and associated equipment; assist with electrical wiring, lighting, and other building trades as needed.
• Enter work orders, close tickets within 48 hours, and follow safety and hospital policies; support snow removal and campus maintenance as assigned.
