Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Peoria, AZ to install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems and building controls. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with managers and technicians to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will handle preventive maintenance, read schematics, operate company vehicles, track parts, and participate in on-call rotations. The role requires HVAC certification and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
• Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling-equipment, or related trades.
• Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• EPA Section 608 Certification for handling and servicing refrigerants and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems, related building equipment, ductwork, and control components.
• Configure and calibrate direct digital controls and building automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Ensure safe operation of tools, equipment, and vehicles; participate in on-call rotations.
• Coordinate with management and technicians; track parts, materials, and warranty claims.
