Job summary

AIRO Mechanical in North Carolina seeks a Mechanical Estimator to support multi-family HVAC projects. You will analyze project specifications, perform site visits, complete takeoffs, and develop detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
• 2+ years of mechanical estimating experience in construction
• Proficiency in Trimble or similar estimating software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specs to understand scope.
• Perform on-site visits to gather data.
• Complete takeoffs and produce detailed cost estimates.
• Provide input on value engineering.
• Use cost databases and benchmarks for accuracy.
• Develop bid proposals with scope, costs, and qualifications.
• Coordinate with bid team to match requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes.
• Build supplier relationships for competitive pricing.
• Identify and assess project cost risks.
• Suggest risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with sales, PMs, architects to refine requirements.
• Communicate estimates clearly to align team.
• Other duties as assigned.
