Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Building Solutions North America to lead large, complex HVAC equipment projects of $3M+ at customer sites. You will work with Owners, sales, installation, and field teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will travel to DC market sites as needed, develop schedules, manage subcontractors, review contracts, and pursue change orders to protect cash flow and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a construction-related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of large HVAC equipment projects $3M+
• Develop project schedules and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery
• Coordinate with owners, sales, installation, and field teams to optimize scope and risk
• Manage costs, billings, and collections while maintaining profitability
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, safety standards, and company policies
• Pursue change orders to support project margins
• Oversee subcontractors and internal resources to meet project objectives
• Interface with management to report progress and financial status
