Job summary

Trane Technologies in Ashland, VA is seeking an Equipment Project Manager to lead HVAC equipment projects, including scope, schedule and budget. You will coordinate with owners, contractors and field staff to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills, with an emphasis on independent work and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Onsite Monday–Thursday with flexible Fridays.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent with a minimum of two years in project management, HVAC or related field; or four years in project management, equipment or related experience.
• Candidates without a four-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience is valued.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment is preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and analyze projects, set schedules and procedures to achieve objectives.
• Communicate with customers, building owners, contractors and field staff to maintain satisfaction.
• Monitor estimated ship dates and compliance with ordering processes.
• Manage forecasted costs, control expenses and monitor project budgets.
• Create and revise project schedules with tasks, estimates and milestones.
• Enter equipment orders, issue purchases and generate start-up work orders.
• Manage project cash-flow, progress billing and resource allocation.
