CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain and optimize critical building systems in a Monday–Friday day schedule. You will support the performance, reliability, and efficiency of HVAC and mechanical equipment, contributing to safe and comfortable environments for occupants.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required with 4–5 years of job-related experience; combination of experience and education considered.
  • EPA Certification is required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot chillers, compressors, and associated cooling components.
  • Service exhaust fans, air distribution systems, and air handling equipment to maintain proper airflow and conditions.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment and established procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections, adjustments, and repairs on HVAC equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Install and maintain control systems for HVAC/R equipment, including calibration of instruments and gauges.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and propose effective modifications.
  • Share knowledge and mentor others in related disciplines.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs on commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot chillers, compressors, and associated cooling system components.
  • Monitor and service exhaust fans, air distribution systems, and air handling equipment to maintain proper airflow and environmental conditions.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment and established maintenance procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and repairs on HVAC equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
  • Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
