You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize critical HVAC systems to ensure reliable building operations for a large corporate environment. This Monday–Friday day-shift role includes occasional weekend support and offers opportunities to work across diverse facilities, applying technical expertise to complex challenges and collaborating with a team of building

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of related experience in HVAC/maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED or trade school preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of a diploma.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and mechanical systems across a 20-building campus.
• Maintain and diagnose AHUs, HRUs, heaters, cooling towers, pumps, VAV boxes, and related equipment.
• Inspect and repair VFDs, motor control systems, and power distribution boxes.
• Service mechanical pumps, actuators, dampers, and control devices to support building operations.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain building heating, ventilation and air conditioning controls and related instruments.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards across campus facilities.

About the Role:

CBRE is seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to support a premier energy client at a dynamic 20-building campus in Spring, Texas. In this highly visible role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing critical HVAC systems that support a large-scale corporate environment. What You'll Do:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM), inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of HVAC and mechanical systems across a 20-building campus.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair air handling units (AHUs), HRUs, heaters, cooling towers, pumps, VAV boxes, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Replace and align belts, motors, bearings, couplings, and other mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment performance. Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control systems, and power distribution boxes.
• Service mechanical pumps, actuators, dampers, and control devices to support efficient building operations.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Driver's license required.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
