Job summary

University of Nebraska Omaha is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to install, operate, and maintain the Energy Management & Controls System (EMCS) across campus buildings. The role requires knowledge of HVAC controls, pneumatic and DDC systems, and a capacity to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring the Tridium front-end, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required.
One year of experience in installation, diagnostics and repairs of automated controls for HVAC systems.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Associate’s degree in HVAC Systems Technology or Electronics Technology preferred.
Prior experience with Niagara/Tridium & Staefa systems preferred.
Experience with lighting controls and utility metering systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, operation and maintenance of the Energy Management & Controls Systems (EMCS) for monitoring and controlling environmental conditions in campus buildings.
Respond to campus work requests for HVAC issues and repair or reset AHUs and VFDs as needed.
Monitor the Tridium front-end to identify problems and diagnose issues with plant equipment.
Document preventive maintenance and work orders using the CMMS.
