Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a Facilities Control and Monitoring Systems Technician to manage and optimize the central air conditioning control system (FCMS), install FCMS components, and ensure energy-efficient operation across campus. You will program the FCMS, maintain energy efficiency, and coordinate weekend/holiday operations while complying with safety standards.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of EMS hardware and strong technical skills.

Qualifications

• Three years HVAC experience, including two years EMS.
• Experience with energy management systems.
• Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise troubleshooting of solid-state boards and energy conservation in facilities.
• Schedule FCMS for weekend and holiday operations.
• Assist with FCMS installation, sensors, electrical hardware, and conduits.
• Program FCMS: boards, points, system graphics, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
