CPI Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking an experienced HVAC Manager to lead our service and installation teams, drive operational excellence, and improve profitability.

You will develop people, coach managers and technicians, monitor KPIs, and work with sales, dispatch and operations to optimize scheduling and customer experience. A strong leadership track record in residential HVAC is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in residential HVAC operations.
• Proven success leading HVAC service and install teams.
• Strong financial and operational acumen with budgets and KPIs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of HVAC service and installation departments.
• Coach and develop Service/Install Managers, technicians, and apprentices.
• Provide oversight for electrical team while overseeing HVAC ops.
• Drive revenue growth with strong gross profit performance.
• Monitor KPIs: revenue, close rates, ticket average, productivity.
• Collaborate with sales, dispatch, CS, and operations for scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and retain HVAC talent.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and standards.
• Oversee inventory, fleet use, budgets and equipment.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced HVAC Manager to lead our service and installation teams while driving operational excellence, team development, and profitability.

HVAC Manager - What You'll Do

• Lead the daily operations of the HVAC service and installation departments.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Service Managers, Install Managers, technicians, and apprentices.
• Provide high-level oversight and support for a small electrical team while maintaining primary responsibility for HVAC operations.
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong gross profit performance.
• Monitor KPIs including revenue, close rates, average ticket, productivity, callback percentage, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with sales, dispatch, customer service, and operations to maximize scheduling efficiency and customer experience.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top HVAC talent.
• Conduct ride-alongs, performance coaching, and regular team meetings.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with company standards, local codes, and industry regulations.
• Oversee inventory, fleet utilization, equipment, and departmental budgets.
• Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with company leadership to support overall business growth and operational goals.

Compensation & Benefits

• $100,000-$110,000 annual base salary
