Job summary
Trane Technologies is seeking a Designer II to create visually compelling 3D and 2D graphics for control projects within our Commercial Sales & Service Offices. You will collaborate with product engineering and design teams to enhance existing designs and develop new solutions for our product offerings.
The role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD) and an eye for detail, with responsibilities spanning from design documentation to BOMs and drafting standards adherence.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Drafting & Design Technology (or related discipline) with at least 2 years CAD experience, or a HS diploma with 5+ years CAD experience.
- Experience using computer-aided graphic solutions (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics; strong documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Produce designs and documentation using CAD/PLM systems.
- Document parts and bills of materials.
- Develop familiarity with design standards and drafting practices; work from instructions and sketches.
- Lead small segments of large projects and ensure timely completion; troubleshoot design issues.
- Maintain CAD system proficiency through ongoing training and practice.
