P2S in Long Beach, CA is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer with 5-10 years of HVAC design experience to join our award-winning team. The role focuses on coordinating designs for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings, leading mechanical design efforts, and collaborating with architects and owners to deliver high-quality, integrated systems.

This full-time, hybrid position offers a salary of $115,000 to $150,000 plus a potential annual bonus based on individual and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5-10 years HVAC design experience in consulting/design-build environments.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months (preferred).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC system design including load calculations and ductwork/hydronic layout.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation per codes.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, structures, and MEP disciplines.
• Conduct field surveys and develop retrofit solutions.
• Support project development from concept to construction administration.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple projects.
• Stay current with building codes and industry standards.
