Job summary

Hermanson Company in the Puget Sound region seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, piping and plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and public facilities. The role requires collaboration with the Engineering/CAD Manager and ODP teams to deliver best-in-class, code-compliant, and cost-effective designs.

The candidate should have 8+ years in mechanical systems design, a WA PE preferred, and strong mentoring and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in mechanical systems design for commercial/public facilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in WA preferred.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems for diverse facilities.
• Perform load calculations, ductwork layouts, and equipment selections.
• Coordinate with CAD team and project stakeholders.
• Ensure code compliance and constructible designs.
