Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3-5+ years of HVAC systems design experience for a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will work on commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-7 years of experience in the MEP industry.
• EIT certification required; PE license is a plus (or actively pursuing licensure).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the mechanical design process for new construction and renovation projects, with exposure to mission-critical facilities.
• Assist with conceptual designs, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, and energy modeling.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure code compliance, coordination, and constructability.
• Support construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits.
• Help track project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Engage with clients to understand design needs and contribute to solution development.
• Continue building technical and project management skills while working closely with senior engineers.
