Job summary

Kosmos is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer in Brea, California to design HVAC and plumbing systems for aviation, government, and military facilities. You will lead design efforts from concept through construction, performing load calculations and energy modeling with industry tools such as IESVE or Trane Trace, and developing CAD documents in Revit and AutoCAD.

You should have a ABET-accredited engineering degree with 3 years of experience, familiarity with UFC/UFGS guidelines, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Plumbing and HVAC experience preferred; FE or PE credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform HVAC and plumbing design from concept through design completion for aviation, government, and military facilities.
• Develop design documents in CAD software (Revit and AutoCAD) and coordinate with project teams.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, and life cycle cost analyses.
• Review drawings, contribute to client presentations, and support field measurements and inspections.
