Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Mechanical HVAC Engineer in Brea, CA to design and adapt HVAC/plumbing systems from concept through design completion for diverse facilities including aviation and government projects.

The role requires an ABET-accredited degree with 3 years of experience or an ABET degree with FE exam plus 3 years of experience; familiarity with UFC/UFGS, ASHRAE, and related standards is essential.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required; 3 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred, plumbing/HVAC experience a plus.
Or ABET-accredited mechanical/engineering technology degree with FE exam passed and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience; plumbing/HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform HVAC load calculations and energy modeling.
Design HVAC and plumbing systems from concept through design completion.
Prepare design documents and CAD drawings (Revit/AutoCAD) for multiple facilities.
Review drawings for aviation, government, military, and other facilities.
Apply UFC/UFGS guidelines and relevant codes (ASHRAE, ASPE, Title 24, IMC, IPC).
Coordinate with project managers and clients; assist in field measurements and contract administration.
