Job summary

Kosmos Corp in California seeks a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and refine HVAC and plumbing systems for aviation, government, and military facilities. You will work with project teams from concept through construction, performing load calculations, energy modeling, and CAD design.

The ideal candidate holds a ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree with 3 years of experience, and FE/PE considered.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required or related field.
• 3 years mechanical engineering experience required; plumbing/HVAC experience preferred.
• FE exam or PE license preferred.
• Proficient in design reports and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC and plumbing design from conceptual to design completion.
• Lead HVAC load calculations and energy modeling.
• Develop design documents in CAD software (Revit and AutoCAD).
• Review drawings and support field inspections and contract administration.
• Apply UFC/UFGS guidelines and ASHRAE/IMC/IPC standards.
