Job summary

gpac is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong HVAC/Building Systems background to contribute to diverse commercial and institutional projects. You will develop mechanical designs, size HVAC systems, and coordinate with owners, architects, and construction teams to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of facilities design experience, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and familiarity with Trane TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facilities or mechanical systems design.
• Experience on healthcare, higher education, commercial, laboratory, or similar facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for commercial and institutional facilities.
• Design and size HVAC airside and waterside systems.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural and other trades.
• Assist with medical/laboratory gas and process systems layouts.
• Review vendor shop drawings and equipment submittals.
• Maintain CAD/BIM standards and best practices.
• Present technical issues and design solutions to clients.
