Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Tampa, FL is seeking an HVAC Estimator on-site. Role focuses on design, coordination, and execution of HVAC systems for commercial and municipal projects, with 2–5 years of experience and growth opportunities.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop practical, code-compliant designs, perform load calculations, prepare construction documents, and support design-build and plan-spec projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Current PE certification or intent to obtain PE.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and codes.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layouts.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform energy calculations and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other trades.
• Support design-build and plan-spec projects from concept through construction.
• Train junior engineers and/or interns.
